IATF 16949 On-Site Audit Completed | Full Automotive Quality System Verification

Sep.09.2026
As a certified IATF 16949:2016 automotive spring manufacturer, we recently completed a rigorous on-site factory audit by our automotive industry clients. The audit fully verified our standardized automotive quality management system, standardized production processes, and strict full-range quality control capabilities. It fully proves that our factory meets the international manufacturing standards for automotive precision spring parts and can provide stable, compliant, and high-quality custom spring solutions for global automotive customers.
Different from ordinary factory inspections, this automotive-level audit focused entirely on automotive 5 core quality tools and full-process production quality management. The audit team conducted a comprehensive, detailed inspection covering our document system, quality planning, process control, and on-site production inspection links, with zero major non-conformities found in the final audit result.

Full Verification of IATF 16949 Core Document System

The customer’s audit team systematically reviewed our complete automotive quality management documents, strictly checking the whole-process quality management system based on APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC and MSA, which are core requirements of IATF 16949 standards.
✅ APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) We adopt standardized APQP phased management for all new automotive spring projects. From project feasibility evaluation, product design verification, process development planning to mass production confirmation and post-production continuous improvement, we implement full-cycle quality advance planning. Every new product development follows strict gate management to eliminate potential quality risks in advance and ensure the consistency and stability of automotive spring products in mass production.
✅ PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) Our factory has complete PPAP document submission capability. For all automotive customized springs, we can provide standardized PPAP approval documents including part submission warrant, dimension inspection reports, material certificates, process records and performance test data. All production parts are fully verified before mass shipment to ensure 100% compliance with customer design specifications and automotive industry access standards.
✅ Control Plan (CP) We have formulated complete pre-production, in-production and post-production control plans for all automotive spring production lines. The CP clearly defines key product characteristics, process key points, inspection frequency, testing methods and judgment standards. It realizes standardized, institutionalized and procedural quality control for every production link, effectively avoiding process fluctuations and defective products.
✅ FMEA (DFMEA / PFMEA) We conduct systematic failure mode analysis for product design and production process. Through FMEA risk assessment, we identify potential design defects and process failure risks in advance, formulate targeted prevention and improvement measures, continuously reduce RPN risk values, and greatly improve the yield and service stability of automotive precision springs.
✅ SPC & MSA System Management We apply SPC statistical process control to monitor production process data in real time, analyze process capability, and realize early warning of abnormal process fluctuations. At the same time, we complete regular MSA measurement system analysis to ensure the accuracy, stability and repeatability of inspection equipment and test data, making all quality inspection data true, effective and traceable.

On-Site Full Process Quality Inspection Verification

In addition to system document review, the audit team conducted on-site tracking and verification of our entire production and quality inspection process, covering every key link from raw material incoming to finished product delivery:
1. Incoming Material Inspection (IQC) All spring steel raw materials, stainless steel materials and auxiliary materials are strictly inspected for material certificate, size, hardness and surface quality before warehousing. Only qualified raw materials can enter production to fundamentally guarantee the quality foundation of automotive springs.
2. In-Process Patrol Inspection (IPQC) Professional quality inspectors conduct uninterrupted patrol inspection on production line equipment parameters, spring wire diameter, coil diameter, torsion angle, bending size and surface treatment quality during production. Real-time process parameter monitoring ensures consistent product precision in batch production.
3. Final Inspection & Output Quality Control After production is completed, all finished springs undergo strict dimensional inspection, performance test, fatigue resistance test and surface anti-rust detection. Combined with IATF 16949 traceability management, each batch of products has complete production and inspection records to achieve full-process traceability.
